I just recieved an email (and this is from the TS association) about a new upcomming movie. Unfortunately its not previewing in my area yet, but for some of you it might be. This is a copy of the info from the email. Also there is an auction on ebay comming up to benifit TSA with some of the props from the movie. Check it out if your interested.

Depressing newsletter from TSA? (That Darn Tic)

I recently signed up for information as a "newbie" on the TSA's website. Yesterday I received a large packet with flyers, doctor info, etc. Also inside was a newsletter called "That Darn Tic, A Newsletter By and For Kids with TS". I have to be honest, that newsletter was depressing as heck!
My son is only 5 but I'm pretty sure I won't be showing him this newsletter when he's old enough to understand.

In all fairness, some of the kids stories were positive...

Well I was in my local library just playing around with the computer to see what books they had on TS for kids and I found this one "Introducing... Sasha Abramowitz." It is a book for juveniles about a girl that has a brother with TS. It was not a bad book but there were some aspects that I did not care for.

I feel that if a parent read this book with an initial dx of a child they would have a hopeless feeling. The depiction of the brother is one of detachment, severe...

Any recommended reading for how to help and support a young adult with OCD? Not so much about the symptoms, but how do go about discussing it and being supportive from the non-OCD person standpoint?

if the movie critics saw this movie and had ts themselves it would get an oscar!

this is a movie abought one mans struggles with ts ocd and divorce. i just finnished watching it and i give it two thumbs up
i recomend this movie to everyone. one caution there is a moment of brief nudity
