I feel like im too tense and i feel so horribly wrong like anxiety. Ive tried excersise and sports but it comes back frequently. Does anyone recomend anything?

Has any one found an alternative way to deal with tourettes other then medications. I hate being a guinea pig when it comes to taken medications. How does every one cope on tourette medications. Do you live a regular life?

I'm Danny, i've had tourettes for two+ years now, i've been on this forum before but haven't been on in a while. I am yet to get diagnosed because i haven't seen the point but i've recently started university and its becoming to be a bit of a social irritation, especially seen as alcohol and caffeine are large catalsyst to my coprolalia and thats basically a students diet.

tourettes and anti-depressants

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the board. This is a great site. I've been dealing with tourettes for 30 years and was one of the first 20 guinea pigs they tested ORAP on. My question is, are there any anti-depressants that tourettes patients have had good results with? I've been dealing with some other health issues and tried Lexapro with no good results. I don't want to spend months trying a bunch of meds hoping one will help.

I find it very difficult to deal with work, having this condition. I get called names and treated very badly by co-workers over something I have no controll over. The harrasment has gotten so bad. Im thinking of quiting a job I really like.

Hi as you know i always have something to complain about. But im foreal so my problem now is that i cant sleep. For some reason one day i went to sleep at like 3 am in the morning. I was wondering what you guys do when you're on a plane? i'm taking a long (4 hour) flight pretty soon, and my tics aren't too bad but they're noticeable especially the vocal ones. Should i tell the person next to me or just wait for them to ask? i take tranxene for anxiety and it helps with the tics but like i said they're still pretty obvious. Please help me. My brother has a chronic case of TS... He's battled with that and Diabetes since early childhood. The thing is they didn't know what it was so it made a hard life for him. I had to make a video with a 10 minutes speach today (applying for a new job where they require it)
and when editing the video i noticed tics i didnt knew i had! annoying as he**.

Yesterday i had this headache and i was dizzy and i felt like i couldnt move sometimes. Like i was stuck and then i wanted to throw up right.
