Migraines with Tourettes

My son was diagnosed with Tourettes by the age of 7. He is now ten and for the last 2 years has also suffered Migraines. But about three months ago, the frequency of the mirgraines has increased dramatically to about 2-3 a week. I haven't posted for a while. It's like we have been having a break from TS! Our son (10) has been on Clonidine for about a year and a half and his tics have been really mild. He has had a very happy and positive year. But starting the new school year this September has brought us lots of problems. His tics have increased, but that we can all handle. OK, I am going out on a limb here, but as all of you parents know, you will do anything to help your child find peace in the TS, right?

Hi! We have an appt to see the ped neurologist in the next few weeks as we have clued into our 7y son's tics for the past 3 months. I've read up quite a bit but still have questions that I think other parents might be able to answer just as well as the neurologist. So far we have not noticed any "plus" items (no OCD, anxiety, etc.) and the tics do not seem to bother him. I am so thankful that I have found this website. I have felt like the only parent in the world that is trying to find answers and more information. I have a 10 year old son with TS. My son has had such a "quiet" tic time all summer and now after having a serious sinus infection he has been on antibiotics for weeks and his tics are ramping up again! Mostly his head shake and vocals. Is there a connection? He also is now suffering from the chicken pox and with that a bad head ache made worse with the constant head shaking tic! I am sure this has been discussed before but do most of you parents see tics worsen with illness?

Hi there, I have an 8yr old daughter who was diagnosed with Tourettes over 3 years ago. She generally had fairly mild but constant vocal tics that waxed and waned over a three to 6 month cycle.
We have, however, noticed that it has now been about 18 months since her last noticeable bout of vocal ticcing. Is this normal - to go for a long period without ticcing?
In saying this though, she constantly talks in a babyish, cutesy type voice. Is this a tic?
