We are still in the diagnosis process with my 7 year old. I asked the teacher before we saw the psychiatrist last week if she noticed the throat clearing and eye rolling. She said very casually yes. After seeing the Dr. she thinks it is TS but the motor tics( she has several others) haven't all been for a 6 month period(vocal have been 4 yrs.). My question is do I go back and tell the teacher what we think it is or not say anything? My only concern is her telling her to stop the throat...

It is the test required for SPED certification in my state (I am trying to become cross-endorsed just in case I ever want to use it). The test was simple for me- 60 questions multiple choice. I am proud to say that in the version I took today, Tourette's Syndrome was the correct answer for 2 out of the 60 questions! Pretty good, eh?!

We took him out because his teachers and principle wanted to send him to alternative school. They would say that he is very disruptive in class and refuses to do work and is defiant. We did have him under 504 at that time also. We just could not get his teachers to work with us. They would tell me that he is very smart and knows the work but just...

At this one and the last one, I feel like he tests at a level that is "better" than his actual speech. DS will bring home quizzes and tests where he knows the answers but gets them marked wrong because either the teacher can't read what he wrote or he doesn't have enough time to complete the work. Will you please tell me where it is, I can't seem to find it again.
School seems to think my son is too gifted to have problems but all it takes is to try to have a conversation with him that requires more than two sentences in a row to know better.
