<p>I have heard that magnesium is good for tics - is this true? I looked in our local chemist&#39;s - but they only had adult doses unless we wanted a multi
vitamin tablet which i suspect wouldnt give nearly enough coverage. Can anyone tell me what sort of doses i should give him? He is 11.Are there any other
natural supplements that help with tics? I have read about nicotine patches and botox etc - but not sure this is something that should be given to a child.

neck muscles. He also &#39;shrugs&#39; his shoulders. The gp sent him to the ENT specialist who found nothing wrong. Where do we go from here? Thanks for any

			<description><![CDATA[ I never really had a problem with tics until I was 11 years old. At that age I started motor tics, such as whole body movements (swaying, jumping), and hand
flapping and head knodding, as well as vocal tics like repeating my own words. Nowadays I am better. I do not have complex vocal tics, I just make clicking
sounds when I am exceted. As well, I will have tics in my legs, back, neck, face and head knodding.

We&#39;re sooo confused.  Here&#39;s our family background.  We have:

15 yof w/TS and OCD on topamax
<br>
13 yof w/ADD just diagnosed
<br>
10 yom w/TS and suspected ADD- just starting diagnosis process- on topamax (was on clonidine)

Our daughter needs an RX for the ADD and of course a stimulant was suggested.  However, all of them say to use with caution... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Well my son had a 1st dx a yr ago in nov. Taking him to a psychiatrist for a 2nd opinion this wk.

The 1st dr. said he would grow out of it. And that he also had ADHD &amp; ODD. I sort of don&#39;t agree w/ that part. I was glad he would grow out of it.
Recently his head nods or jerks have changed to a side jerk combo. Before I would notice it couple X&#39;s a day. Now it is constant. Any Med recommendations?

			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t want to sound pessimistic, but this is all new to me.  My son is 4 yrs old and suddenly started to have a number of tics (vocal and muscular) and
is truly acting nothing like himself.  He&#39;s suddenly jittery, ect.  Anyhow, not the point - we are seeing a doctor to try to get to the bottom of this.

			<description><![CDATA[ my son is 22 and was dx with autism when he was 2.  The touretts dx is more recently.  I can&#39;t help wondering if he has that due to some of the meds he was
on for the autism.

nerve racking for the past few months.  As we approach our closing date, my tics have been off the charts.  My entire upper body twitches, my arms flop like a

ped neuro to a pediatric psychologist. During our visit my son was very quiet and kept saying he was tired (his way of not participating) at first then began
to interact during the last half of the appointment. My son was brought to a room and was instructed to take a test on the computer. This test was to help
